I would love to hear how my blog / video content has personally helped you become a better player.
If you would like to submit a testimonial I would be most grateful. Please contact me.
Rift is my first real PvP experience except a bit of dabbling in EQ and City of Villians. Becoming competitive in PvP has required learing alot of new skills, and your blog helped speed up the process. I still have a long way to go before I will be satisfied with my gameplay, and that is why I continue to scour the web for websites such as yours to learn from.
As far as how you have improved my gameplay, you have taught me quite a bit about about playing more carefully and deliberatly. When I first started, I did have the
Rambo attitude. Versus weaker competition, it actually worked alright, but versus strong competition, I would melt. After watching your videos and playing against you, it started to sink in that I need to treat this more like a strategy game and not the FPS that I had assumed PvP was intended to be.
Some specific skills I have learned or improved upon just from your Blog are effective positioning, baiting, extending and use of consumables. Thanks for all the effort you put into the site.

Using the material you have presented has improved my game play in the areas that I can improve upon. I see my mage as a threat now, not just because I have finally ranked up to P8, but because I am giving the enemy a dangerous and difficult target to deal with. I can no longer be left alone or ignored, due to the “lessons” I have picked up from these videos and “tutorials” presented on your site.
Following you methods, specs, game play etc has had the effect of “slowing” down the game in real time for me, if that makes sense. I am able to react more smoothly and scan the battle field for add’s, other threats and teammates much more than I ever could. Situational awareness that you preach is easier said than done but a talent that separates you elite players from the masses.

Your videos showed how lax I was with regards to positioning my character at times. I always tried to pay attention to where I should be in a general sense (i.e. offense/defense/stick with enemies), but now I try to pay particular attention to where I choose my battles (when i can choose them) so that I am in close proximity to some kind of LoS cover.
It’s been very beneficial, and I feel it has helped my gameplay tremendously.

I would like to thank you for making me a better player in rift…being aware of everything around your character & evaluating situations is what Iam working on – and your videos have been a real help.

Your videos taught me many good and useful tricks, I haven’t even knew about gravemaker steak and overlook point in Codex, sigil setup and runes from notoriety, GCD as resource, dealing with rsnb and how mage even in P4 gear can succeed before you shown me. Won’t say i’m now doing it pro and not always top in charts, there are lot more skilled guys than me out there on wfs, and I still have issues with charging into rivals, but I noticed some skill boost in how I play after looked through and remember most tricks you shown(some of them are still difficult to me).
You sir, making me proud of mages.

I agree very much with your approach to mage PVP, and watching your videos has cut my watching the respawn screen a lot. I used to play a 51 Warlock 10 Dominator 5 AM mainly for interrupt and deny, the intelligence boost is nice too. But I must say your method of stacking endurance and going deep into archmage appeals to me and has been working very well.
Not only that, positioning and awareness you stress has made my game a lot more enjoyable and has come to be one of the things I’m focusing the hardest on to get better. I just hit P6 a few days ago, and probably wouldn’t have without your motivation.
I’m starting to feel that pvp isn’t just something to do to get the P8 weapons but something I actually enjoy immensely. I’m actually turning down raids to PVP. The thing I’ve realized is that PVP is a lot more situational, it depends on thinking on your feet, constantly changing and adapting to the whats happening around you. I’ve always and will always play a mage, and thanks to you I get to play it more like what I imagined it to be. So once again, thank you very much.

I always believed the best PVP spec out there for me was that of my own designed until I started reading your blogs and learning from your videos. Needless to say at first I copied your pvp spec but I modified it to suit my playstyle. I have been enjoying my mage again in PVP before 1.6 and I owe it all to you! By doing those warfronts with you and seeing it with my own eyes I got a huge surge of motivation I almost got myself to pvp r7 and was able to improve my character significantly. Unless you join I am usually on top kills and dps for the Guardians team. Thanks!!!!

It was a pleasure to run a few warfronts with you. I just moved to a new shard and you are in my battle group. You seemed excited about your new build. I hope it worked up to expectations. While currently I don’t expect to change my build, I do find it informative to know what certain builds are capable of. I do watch your videos as you seem to have a good strategy for mage survival and that’s what interests me most. Thank you for your time and effort in putting these things together.
